Wow, Cody, that was great and probably the most intelligent piece of thought I've ever heard come out of you. I'll have to make this into a post.

I've heard so many people say that they still can't decide who they want to vote for. Whats heart breaking the most about this is most of the people that I've heard saying this are conservatives. I've done my research and I've studied both candidates. I don't know everything about politics and most of it is way over my head. I had to figure out that my vote is going to come down to what is important in my life. Is Change more important than Abortion? Is the Government controlling my health care choices more important than the war? I have found that yes, there does need to be change, but the question is does Obama offer the change that is needed to better our country? and to Better our citizens. Besides, how much more change do people want...the democrats wanted change 2 years ago when they took over the house and senate and now look at our economy. Gas prices have doubled and the market has crashed. You got what you asked for...change!

Obama is wanting to pull our troops out of Iraq. Giving the terrorist the victory. People don't realize that all this will do is bring the war here. and also open up the gates to future 9-11's, that will be even more devastating. We are in a time that needs a president that will put our military out there and protect our countries freedom. Simply talking to the terrorist wont solve anything. They lost that chance of forgiveness on 9-11.

Obama once said that he the inconvenience of his daughter getting pregnant isn't worth ruining her life over. So abortion is ok...right? I say, if your daughter decided to start having sex then she needs to be responsible and take on the new life that has been given to her. There are thousands of couples out there that are unable to have children who would love to adopt. It's sad that there are people who would kill to have a child yet so many more people that have no problem killing a child.

So...if you can't decide who you want to vote for, go back to your roots. What is more important? The International FireFighter Association always endorses the Democrat candidate because they tend to support our firefighters and their families more. Although this might be true, I've asked myself, whats more important. As a Firefighter I love my job. It is very rewarding and to put my life in danger everyday is a scary thing for my wife and future children. If something was to happen to me while on duty, I'd want to make sure my family was taken care of. But whats more important? Abortion or my family struggling financially if I were to get injured or even killed? The selfish side of me wants to say my family, but what about those babies? What about those couples that would love to have children but can't? I have been blessed with the ability to produce offspring, it's not fare that others can't. The sacrifice of not having the Job support is worth saving future lives. I love my job but I'm not going to change my moral values because my job supports someone who doesn't.

When deciding who to vote for, ask yourself, whats more important? Go to your Roots!

you can vote due to a variety of issues but for me the bottom line is do I want the governement more or less involved in my life... and that answer is less and that is the key reason I vote Republican. I believe in states rights and limited government...look at governement institutions like the us post office and the IRS... what a mess!! Do I really want them running my healthcare or in charge of Wall street.. NO WAY. Candidates like Obama are charismatic because the offer hope, but they really want the government to be in charge of your hope... I don't think that is good for anyone!

Funny you mention overseas... all my friends in London are for McCain... they hate socialized healthcare in England...
